Quitter Gallery

Quitter.  This was the original logo I saw in 2011 when I started the Quitter project.  I remember back then how there were reports of censorship on a massive scale and also profiling of people done by governments and police departments all over the world.

You might say censorship and surveillance of groups of people is a violation of the Constitution and Bill of Rights of the United States of America.  Not in 21st century America!  Anything goes with shutting people out of profits from their labors.

So, here’s the first image I did of Quitter trying to make him 3D as I find corporate logos very flat.

So, here it is, originally it was meant to be a protest against the censorship of twitter and social media in general as its taken our real social lives away.

It started as a pencil drawing on a piece of copier paper.  I really never thought it would be anything, it was just a fun idea I had then based on the old 2010 logo:

This was the original drawing that I eventually used to make the Quitter oil painting in 2012.

Of course this was done on Gessobord along with all the other paintings I did in this time period until 2014.

It was such a disappointing surface and it ruined all my paintings of this time that I actually gave up on oil painting for a while until 2016.

I guess this is the best photo I still have of this piece.  It really was a lot smoother than this and it looks quite pixelated now.
