No Way. Not much to say about this piece, but here goes.
No way was first featured in the Modesto: Poverty, Meth, Discontentment, Death oil painting I did in 2013. Just check out the Modesto product page to hear more about that.
Here’s the image I’m talking about. The No Way sign is in the bottom right corner of this painting:
I made the No Way sign as it expressed how I felt living in Modesto for 20 years off and on. I invented oil painting mediums there, painted many different paintings, went to college there and had many friends there.
I just realized when I painted this it felt like there was no way to make it there. Turned out I was right.
