Quitter Fine Art Posters

You may be suprised at how much tougher these posters are than most other ones you may have seen or purchased previously. Its not tough enough to withstand having your dog run through it like a bull after the matador cries "Ole'!", but what poster could?
We've tested samples of this 220 gsm fine art paper and it has an incredibly vivid color saturation as it rocks out with its suprising toughness.
This poster's velvety matte finish eliminates that annoying glare enjoyed by most glossy posters you get at the mall and a color accuracy that rivals professional prints.
Lest we forget, these posters are giclée printed, which is the elite printing process of our day and go-to option for professional photographers and artists. If you didn't know how great giclee' printing is and were living under a rock for the last 20 years we accept your apology!
So, they're called posters but actually they are professional giclee' fine art prints sold at poster prices.
And as always, free shipping to all US addresses!
Care and instructions for pressing your curled poster: Ships rolled in a sturdy cardboard tube. To release most of the curl, lay the poster flat for several hours before hanging on a clean dry surface to release most of it.
If the poster doesn't uncurl sufficiently for you, it may be necessary to press it using the following instructions. You may want to press your poster (without heat) using a padded and weighted piece of wood to make sure it lays flattest on the wall or in your frame.
When we press a poster, we first tape it to a smooth flat surface on the corners and sides (about 8 pieces of tape) face up using painter's blue tape. Before we even touch the poster with this blue tape we stick and unstick this blue tape a bunch of times (usually 8-10 times) on a cotton towel, piece of cotton or felt to make it less sticky so the print doesn't come away with the tape when it is removed later.
Next we take a thin unembroidered blanket and tape around the back of a smooth flat piece of wood or melanine (approximately an inch or so thick to avoid warping) so it doesn't damage the poster surface. Just make sure there are no folds or embroidered designs on the blanket/fabric as it will make an impression on your poster after pressing.
Once the poster is taped to the smooth surface underneath with the less sticky blue tape you can take the piece of wood with the blanket taped on it and place it over the front of the poster, blanket side down.
All you have to do now is to carefully place some sort of heavy weights onto the back of this piece of wood or melanine. We've used weightlifting weights in the past as well as lots of heavy books or other heavy stuff to weigh it down so it presses correctly. Make sure to distribute the weight as evenly as you can, or it may take longer to press.
We usually give it about 24 hours in the press, and it takes the curl out of the paper quite nicely. If you wait 48 hours in the press, even better.
When the time you selected is over, remove the weights from the back of the wood and then remove the wood with the taped on blanket itself.
Then with extreme care remove the tape from the front of the poster so as to not peel away the printed side with the tape or accidentally rip your poster.
The reason posters must be pressed, even if we could send you them totally flat is that the printer paper they are printed on is on a roll. This ensures that all posters and prints will have some amount of natural curl to the paper and will not sit as flat as we like.
After pressing, we like to use double sided tape if sticking the poster to the wall and this does well unless the wall is thick stucco or something. These posters can also be framed professionally or by you if you are so inclined as we always leave a little extra space around the main designs for just that.
If the poster does gather any dust, you may wipe it off gently with a clean, dry cloth or terry towel. Do not clean with water or cleaning chemicals as it will cause the colors to run and discolor.
